Revised Billing Codes for Speech and Cognitive Services Effective January 1, 2024

Medicare updated billing codes just as 2024 began, with 2 new combos needing the 59 modifier, and we’ve got you covered:

92507 (Treatment of speech, language, voice, communication, and/or auditory processing disorder) + 97129 (Therapeutic interventions that focus on cognitive function)
92508 (Speech/hearing therapy) + 97129 (Therapeutic interventions that focus on cognitive function)
When these codes are used together, WebPT will automatically apply the 59 modifier for you to align with the NCCI guidelines and prevent potential payment denials.
