In T-minus six days, I—along with the rest of the WebPT crew—will be in our nation’s capital to kick off another Evolve event. Just like all roads in DC lead to the Capitol, all roads in the current therapy landscape led us to host an event in DC. This is a pivotal time in the therapy industry, and as such, we felt it appropriate to host an event in the city at the center of many important decisions affecting PTs.
We have one goal here at WebPT: empowering therapists to achieve greatness in practice. That’s why we host Evolve events. On May 15, 2014, current Members and friends of WebPT will gather with leading professionals in the therapy industry. What’s on the docket for the day, you might wonder?
Well, just as no nation can be strong without a solid belief in its leadership, you can’t lead your practice without your team behind you. So, Heidi Jannenga, WebPT’s own fearless leader, will discuss the importance of company culture in your practice and how it helps increase productivity. Then, because no event in Washington, DC, would be complete without a glimpse into the inner workings of therapy-related legislation, Mandy Frohlich, the Senior Director of Government Affairs of the American Physical Therapy Association, will provide an enlightening overview of the current state of PT. She’ll also explain what you can do to get involved. Finally, we’ll address one of the largest government-driven changes the medical community will undergo next year: the implementation of ICD-10. Is your practice ready? WebPT has brought in one of the nation’s leading compliance experts, Rick Gawenda, PT, to provide insight on what your practice should do to prepare for the transition.
After a day of education focused on improving your practice and ensuring that you’re ready to tackle the ever-changing compliance landscape, it wouldn’t be right for us to send you away with an empty stomach. So, join us for our post-event reception, where you can grab some tasty food and drinks while making lasting connections with other therapy professionals.
If you happen to be in the DC area and want to stop by Evolve next Thursday, registration is still open here: www.webpt.com/evolve. If it’s too far to get there in time, don’t worry. In a few weeks, we’ll post videos of the presentations right here on the WebPT blog.
