Meredith Castin, PT, DPT is the founder of The Non-Clinical PT, the number-one resource for PT, OT, and SLP professionals seeking non-clinical healthcare careers. She studied communication and psychology at University of Pennsylvania, and then worked as a web and graphic designer. She injured herself at the company party and made a miraculous recovery in physical therapy, which inspired her to become a PT. Meredith graduated from University of St. Augustine, San Diego in 2010. She then worked for five years in outpatient ortho, inpatient rehab, and acute care before realizing her heart wasn’t in clinical care. Meredith entered the non-clinical world as a PRN rehab liaison, and she was able to build a successful writing career during that time. These days, Meredith runs The Non-Clinical PT, where she creates courses and educational content designed to help other “black sheep” rehab professionals who are looking to use their experience and education in creative new ways. She’s passionate about keeping therapists and assistants invested in the profession, even when they need a break from patient care. In her free time, Meredith loves rock climbing, hiking, snowsports, stuffing her face, recording music, and spending time with her husband and three cats.
