PHOENIX (April 19, 2023) — WebPT, the leading rehab therapy platform for enhancing patient care and fueling business growth, today announces the call for speaker proposals and award nominations for Ascend 2023—taking place in Phoenix, AZ, September 21-23—are open. 

Ascend is the premiere business and networking summit for rehab therapy professionals looking to elevate their practice. Renowned in the industry for its exceptional educational content, event organizers are seeking proposals for speakers who will deliver actionable and inspiring content that helps clinic leaders better run their businesses, improve their bottom line, and excel as rehab therapy professionals. The deadline for proposals is May 15, 2023.

“We are excited to welcome rehab therapy professionals from around the US to WebPT’s hometown of Phoenix for Ascend 2023,” said Heidi Jannenga, PT, DPT, ATC, co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer at WebPT. “What started out as a small educational gathering has—over the last 10 years—turned into the industry’s top business summit. We invite industry leaders with innovative insights and practical tips on business, leadership, marketing, billing, and technology in rehab therapy, to share their knowledge with their peers and join in on the fun.” 

Two outstanding rehab therapy practices will also be recognized at the event. The Innovator of the Year award is presented to a practice that’s a rehab therapy trailblazer—one that’s executing innovative, unique, and cool new ideas to improve care delivery and practice performance. The Practice of the Year award is presented to an industry leader—a practice that’s making big waves to move the profession forward and enjoying proven success. The application for both awards is due by June 30, 2023. Practices do not need to be a WebPT Member to win, nor does being a WebPT Member increase the chances of winning. Winners will be recognized on stage at Ascend.

“These awards recognize the noteworthy achievements and business results from the most forward-thinking, inventive and determined practices in our industry,” added Jannenga. “There is inspiration to be found in practices large and small, and we encourage everyone to submit nominations so we can recognize the amazing work being done in our industry.”
