The way you approach conversations with your staff—whether those conversations are about challenges or growth and development opportunities—can have a dramatic effect on the desired outcome and impact the development of future leaders on your team. As business owners and leaders, we’re constantly communicating with our teams in five-minute bites, hour-long one-on-ones, and staff meetings. Understanding how to have successful conversations is critical to your success as a leader—as well as your team’s and business’s success.

In this session, attendees will learn how to apply the research and science of impactful conversations in order to dramatically affect outcomes and results. Ultimately, this has the power to transform your team into an engaged, passionate, and productive group of individuals.


  1. Identify three different levels of conversations and provide actual examples of each in their daily conversations.
  2. Perform a critique of their own conversations and then correlate that with the neuroscience behind their responses.
  3. Apply five tips they can use immediately to create successful crucial conversations
  4. Create a positive outcome for both participants by shifting negative and/or difficult conversations.
